The Lion King 3D Official Trailer

This is the photorealistic 3D remake of Walt Disney's popular 2D animated film of same name. The 2D animated movie was released in the year 1994. The movie is about the future king of the African savanna, Simba. He dreams to follow the footsteps of his father, King Mufasa but Mufasa's brother, Scar hatches some evil plans to dethrone Mufasa. Little Simba is forced into exile, where he meets new friends, Timon, a meercat and Pumbaa, a warthog. Simba will grow up and return to rightfully take back the throne of the Pride Lands with The help of his friends. This film emphasizes more on Simba's growing up from a cub to a young lion than the previous 2D version did.

This Walt Disney Pictures movie is directed by Jon Favreau who also directed The Jungle Book 3D movie.

The film is scheduled to release on July 19, 2019.
